Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

You can start free, with 5 scans per month, plus 15 as a welcome gift during your first 2 weeks. Paid plans (Solo, $7.99 per month or $59 per year, and Team, $6.39 per person per month) are coming soon; for now only the Free plan is available.

Do I have to install an app?

No. testCard works in your phone's browser. If you want, you can add it to your home screen and use it like any other app.

How do I sign in without a password?

You type your email and we send you a single-use link that expires in 15 minutes. Tap it and you're in. No password to remember or have stolen.

What happens to the card photos?

They're private: only your account can see them. To read the text, the image is sent to the Claude API, from Anthropic, which is the artificial intelligence we use. When you delete a contact, the photo of their card is deleted too, and photos from scans you never saved are deleted automatically after 7 days.

Can I take my contacts with me?

Yes. You can download them as CSV, to open in Excel, or as vCard, to import into your phone's address book.

Does testCard send the messages for me?

No. It opens WhatsApp, your email or SMS with the message already written, and you press send. That way it goes out from your own number or email.
